1. PHARMACITY

By September 2019, the pharmacy chain of Pharmacity owned by Pharmacy Pharmacity Joint Stock Company had 227 stores located in 6 cities and provinces over the country that includes 190 in Ho Chi Minh, 8 in Ha Noi, 9 in Can Tho, 9 in Binh Duong, 2 in Dong Nai, and 9 in Vung Tau.

2. MEDICARE

By September 2019, Me Di Ca Company Limited’s Medicare brand has the total number of drugstores and cosmetics shops is 81 named Medicare brand. This brand located in 40 cities and provinces nationwide. The number of Medicare’s shops majorly are in Ho Chi Minh (25 shops).

3. PHA NO

Pharmacy chain Pha No owned by Mr. Truong Viet Vu who is a millionaire in the pharmaceutical industry. However, its speed of development has not achieved the expected target until now. By September 2019, Pha No has 59 drugstores located in 11 across the country. Also, this franchise system focuses on developing in Ho Chi Minh city with 37 pharmacies in total.

4. LONG CHAU

Long Chau’s pharmacies chain of FPT Retail Group possesses 48 drugstores placed in 6 cities and provinces nationwide. Most of them are in Ho Chi Minh that has 37 drugstores. By the end of 2018, this chain only remained 22 drugstores. FPT Retail is going to intend to expand to 70 drugstores in 2019 and reach 400 drugstores in 2022.

5. VINFA

VinFa is Vingroup’s the pharmacy brand that established in Ha Noi. Now, VinFa has 34 pharmacies in Ha Noi. Besides building more pharmacies in other places throughout the country. By November 2018, VinFa owns 11 first independent pharmacies placed in VinMart+ chain.

6. MY CHAU

Long Chau pharmacies chain is a cooperation of My Chau Investment Corp and Minh Phuc Pharma Corp. My Chau has 22 drugstores include 20 in Ho Chi Minh, 2 in Ha Noi. It has invested by Mr. Louis Nguyen’s SAM (Saigon Asset Management) who was CEO of IDG Ventures Vietnam and VinaCapital.

7. AN KHANG

After being sold for The Gioi Di Dong, Phuc An Khang pharmacy chain was changed its brand name to An Khang. By October 2017, this chain has 20 pharmacies in Ho Chi Minh.

8. KU.DOS

At the present time, Ku.dos Pharmacy JSC’s pharmaceutical retail chain has 15 drugstores in Ho Chi Minh city.

9. ECO

Eco pharmacy is possessed by Eco Pharma JSC’s that ranked in the 299th in the top 500 Vietnamese largest companies in 2015. At the present time, Eco has 12 pharmacies located in Ho Chi Minh, Ha Noi, and Da Nang. It has still been developing slower than other brands in the retail franchise chain which is a specific market requiring to meet many standards. On the other hand, the investment capital for a drugstore is not small so to develop the franchise system being required to have big investment capital and operational experience from the corporations.
